PERBANDINGAN EVAPOTRANSPIRASI POTENSIAL ANTARA HASIL KELUARAN MODEL RegCM 4.0 DENGAN PERHITUNGAN DATA PENGAMATAN

Abstract


Studi mengenai evapotranspirasi potensial menjadi penting karena evapotranspirasi merupakan indikator perubahan iklim yang sangat penting. Juga karena adanya hubungan antara keseimbangan air dan keseimbangan energi yang disebabkan interaksi rumit dalam sistem darat-tumbuhan-atmosfer. Karena keterbatasan pengamatan, model skala meso menjadi perangkat alternatif studi yang cukup berdayaguna untuk melihat fenomena iklim dan turunannya. Analisis perbandingan digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan model RegCM 4.0 dalam mensimulasikan evapotranspirasi potensial. Data yang dipergunakan adalah data klimatologi wilayah Medan, Bogor, Semarang, Maros dan Kupang untuk menghitung evapotranspirasi potensial berdasarkan data observasi. Sedangkan data global GFS dan modifikasi landuse digunakan sebagai inputan model RegCM 4.0. Dari 5 lokasi penelitian, hanya satu lokasi yang menunjukkan model RegCM 4.0 merepresentasikan data pengamatan yaitu pada wilayah Maros. Hal ini terlihat pada pola evapotranspirasi model hampir mendekati hasil perhitungan data pengamatan meskipun nilai penyimpangannya relatif lebih tinggi 25-79 mm per bulan.

 

A study on the potential evapotranspiration is important because evapotranspiration is a very important indicator of climate change. Also because of the relationship between water and energy balance due to complex interaction of land-vegetation-atmosphere systems. Due to the limitations of observations, a meso-scale model is used as an alternative tool to study the climate phenomenon and its derivatives. Comparative analysis is used to determine the ability of the RegCM4.0 model to simulate potential evapotranspiration. To calculate potential evapotranspiration based on obsevational data, climatological data from Medan, Bogor, Semarang, Maros and Kupang were used, while the GFS global data and landuse modifications were used as input models RegCM 4.0. From the 5 areas studied, only one site shows that the model RegCM 4.0 represent data observations, that is in Maros region. This is reflected in the pattern of evapotranspiration models which come close to the calculation of observational data, though its relatively higher deviation values between 25-79 mm per month.
